How payments work

Mexico — Mercado Pago

  • Connect your own Mercado Pago account by signing in on Mercado Pago's website. I'm In never asks for your password.
  • Money goes straight to you. I'm In never holds it.
  • With Mercado Pago connected, online payments are marked paid automatically once Mercado Pago confirms them. Cash payments stay pending until then.
  • You can also paste your own Mercado Pago payment links. For those, parents tell you they paid and you confirm after checking Mercado Pago.
  • No I'm In fee on these payments. Mercado Pago charges its own fees.
  • You can set up your school and save payment links now. Accepting payments starts once your school plan is active.
  • Once your school plan is active, connect Mercado Pago from your school's Get paid page and families can start paying online.

United States — Stripe

  • Connect your own Stripe account. Your school is the seller and Stripe pays out to your bank on its standard schedule.
  • Parents pay by card on Stripe's secure checkout; payments update automatically.
  • I'm In keeps $3 from each successful one-time card payment. No I'm In fee on monthly card subscriptions. Stripe's processing fees are separate. Parents are never charged extra.
  • Card payments are being set up and aren't available yet. You can prepare your school and save payment links now; accepting payments starts once your school plan is active.

School plan

$40 USD per month, up to 5 locations. Cancel any time. Payment provider fees are separate, as described above.
