How text message opt-in works
Last updated September 30, 2026
I'm In is a scheduling app for recreational sports teams (bar volleyball, pickup basketball, softball, soccer). Texts are used only to tell a player about their own team's games, to collect an RSVP, and to invite an opted-in player to substitute. This page documents the complete opt-in workflow for review.
Current status
Our 10DLC brand and campaign are approved and active. SMS is available only to users who have explicitly opted in. Inbound STOP requests are still honored immediately.

View the live signup opt-inThe opt-in steps
1. Open the public sign-up form
Go to https://sayimin.com/auth?mode=signup&intent=player directly, or tap "Create a free profile" and select "Continue as Player". No existing account or login is required.2. Sign-up asks for contact details
The form visibly asks for Your full name, Phone, Email and Password.3. Separate, unchecked email and SMS choices
Directly beneath the contact fields, under the heading "How should we reach you?", email and SMS are two separate checkboxes. Both start unchecked. The SMS box must be selected manually by the person and shows the exact disclosure quoted below, with links to our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.4. Phone number alone is not consent
Entering a phone number does not opt anyone into texts. Sign-up completes normally with the SMS box unchecked, and leaving it unchecked has no effect on joining a team, subbing, organizing or payment.5. We store the consent record
Only when the SMS box is ticked do we save the consent flag, the timestamp, the screen it came from and the exact text displayed, plus an immutable audit row. Unticking it later records an opt-out the same way.6. Changing the choice later
Existing users can change the same SMS preference, with the same checkbox and wording, on their Profile or Settings page. People who sign up with Google review the same unchecked choice when they finish their profile.7. Messages we then send
Only transactional team messages: a game invitation or reminder with the date, time and place; a request to RSVP; and a substitute invitation with the spot details. No marketing, no promotions, no third-party content.8. Opting out and getting help
Replying STOP to any message immediately ends all texts and is logged; replying HELP returns contact information and a link to this page. Users can also switch texts off in Settings at any time.

SMS is available only if you explicitly opt in.
