Step by step

Tournament organizers

Register teams, build the draw, schedule courts and share results.

Updated October 11, 2026

Before you start

One account can be used for playing, captaining, organizing, running a school and family access. Use Switch workspace to choose what you want to do.

  1. 1

    Start a tournament

Choose Tournament Organizer at signup or add Organizer tools, then explicitly switch to Organizer. Create a tournament with its name and sport. Nothing is public until you publish.

  2. 2

    Save the basics

In Basics, set the venue or city, dates, registration window, team capacity, time zone and description. Save basics. Work through Teams, Format & seeding, Schedule & venues, Scores and Review & publish.

  3. 3

    Open registration and add teams

Add teams directly or publish the public page before sharing the invite code. You can publish with no draw to open registration. Captains request a place for a team they already manage. In Teams, approve or decline entries and assign seeds. Their rosters stay on their teams.

  4. 4

Choose a format and generate the draw

Choose Single elimination or Round-robin pools → bracket. With at least two accepted teams, generate the bracket or pools. Review seeds, byes and first-round matchups. Published draws must be unpublished before regeneration; check the impact before replacing a draw.

  5. 5

    Use the optional bracket builder

Open Bracket builder and describe the teams and schedule. Review the draft bracket, schedule and conflicts; edit with the available controls and Undo/Redo. Nothing is saved until you select Apply bracket & schedule. Review all dates and matchups before applying.

  6. 6

Set courts, times and resolve conflicts

In Schedule & venues, add venues and courts, choose the first start and match duration, then auto-assign courts and times. Review highlighted conflicts. Change a match’s court or start time manually and save. Do not share an unchecked draft schedule as final.

  7. 7

Publish and share the public page

In Review & publish, check teams and matches and select Publish public page. Share the copied /t/ link or invite code. Visitors can see the overview, teams, schedule, bracket and standings without signing in. Use Unpublish to hide it when changes require privacy.

  8. 8

Record results and complete the tournament

In Scores, enter both teams’ scores and save. Winners advance and results update. For pools, review standings and use Build bracket from pool standings when ready. Update the tournament status as it starts and finishes; cancellation asks for confirmation.

Keep in mind

  • Organizer tools are free during launch. Use a larger screen for editing brackets and scheduling; participants can view the public page on a phone. Captain and Organizer are separate roles on the same account.
