Before you start
One account can be used for playing, captaining, organizing, running a school and family access. Use Switch workspace to choose what you want to do.
- 1
Choose School or Family
School owners choose Continue as School Owner at signup. Parents use the school’s public page or private invitation. Use Switch workspace to move between roles on the same account.
- 2
Create your school and locations
Open School → New school. Enter the name, country and language. Mexico uses MXN; the US uses USD. Country cannot be changed later. In Locations & plan, add up to five locations before paying.
- 3
Add students, classes and plans
In Students, add each student and their guardian. In Classes, create the class and schedule, then enroll students. In Plans & fees, set monthly tuition, packages or one-time fees and sibling discounts. Children do not need accounts.
- 4
Invite families and staff
Create a private guardian invitation in Students and send the copied link yourself. The guardian signs in with the invited, confirmed email and selects Accept invitation. Owners can invite staff from Locations & plan. Links expire after 14 days.
- 5
Build your public page and banner
As owner, open Public page. Add a tagline and description; explicitly choose the contacts, locations, classes and plans to display. Use Upload banner or Upload logo, adjust the crop, and select Save image. Use still JPG, PNG or WebP files up to 15 MB; banners need at least 800 × 300 pixels. Images are compressed before saving.
- 6
Preview, publish and share
Save your changes and open Preview page to see the owner-only draft. Turn on Accept join requests if wanted, then Publish. Copy link to share your school’s /s/ page. Add updates as drafts, publish them when ready, or archive them. Unpublish hides the page from visitors.
- 7
Request a place and review applications
Families select Join this school, sign in and confirm their email, then send a short request for a child or adult student. Class, location and note are optional; do not include sensitive information. Owners open Join requests, explicitly create or match the correct student, choose a class and approve or decline. Sending a request does not charge anyone; approval does not mark tuition paid.
- 8
Activate the plan before billing
Prepare all five locations, students, classes, plans and payment links in setup mode. The school plan is $40 USD/month. Billing families starts only after the plan is active. In Get paid, complete the payment-provider connection and check readiness before offering payments. US card payments remain setup-required; live end-to-end payments have not been verified.
- 9
Mexico: connect or use payment links
The owner selects Connect Mercado Pago and authorizes on Mercado Pago’s own website—never enter its password in I’m In. Connected checkout updates only after the provider confirms payment; pending cash stays pending. For pasted official payment links, families report payment and a reference, and the school checks Mercado Pago before confirming receipt. Each monthly bill in connected checkout is paid separately; it is not automatic recurring debit.
- 10
Families: classes, balances and payment status
Switch to Family to see only your linked children and their classes and charges. Open a charge for its available payment options. Do not pay again just because a return page or status is pending—check with the school. If access is missing, ask the school for a fresh invitation to the email you use.
Keep in mind
- Mexico: no I’m In transaction fee; Mercado Pago fees are separate. US: $3 USD from successful one-time card payments, no I’m In fee on monthly card subscriptions; Stripe fees are separate. These fees are not added to the family’s amount.
- Public pages never show student rosters, family balances or payment credentials. After unpublishing, previously issued image links may still work for up to one hour.
